About Us

Terry Gourley is a visionary singer-songwriter, hailing from Baltimore, MD, with her own special brand of music: Folk Rock Fusion. She sings from the heart, laying down everything from belting rock-n-roll to sensitive balladeering and even moody, introspective pop songs. Gourley strums a mean acoustic guitar but has also enlisted internationally acclaimed axe man, Tobias Hurwitz, to back her with the taste of George Harrison and the flash of Eddie Van Halen. Together, Gourley and Hurwitz are an unstoppable combination!

Gourley’s debut CD, So Like a Child, and her sophomore effort, Dreamer, are both available on itunes, Amazon, CD Baby, and more. Dreamer prominently features Hurwitz as well as a stellar cast of musicians including Grammy Award Nominee, Sonia of Disappear Fear, and jazz master, Michael Raitzyk. The Terry Gourley Trio, featuring Gourley, Hurwitz and Chris Pierorazio on percussion is tearing up the Baltimore music scene and branching out into New York and other markets.

Terry Gourley has been singing all her life and playing the guitar since 1982. She is influenced by Eva Cassidy and The Indigo Girls. Gourley began writing her own songs immediately and has enjoyed favorable press in The Baltimore Sun, The Carroll County Times, Music Monthly, and Shockwave Magazine. She has also co-authored the DayJams voice method book for The National Guitar Workshop and made a cameo appearance on Tobias Hurwitz’s 2nd CD, The Way of Zen Guitar. Gourley has been teaching voice at The DayJams music camp since 2001 and also runs an active guitar and voice studio in Maryland.
Terry Gourley is endorsed by D’Addario Strings.
